This time of year the weather can be unpredictable. Frosts can still appear and cause damage just when you thought it was safe to go back into the garden. Be careful about leaving vulnerable plants out overnight. You can harden some plants such as beans or brassicas by putting them out during the day and moving them back to the greenhouse or indoors at night.

This is a good time to clean up lawn edges becuse from now on, regular mowing is needed.Prune flowering shrubs and clip evergreens. Sow broccoli and thin out previously planted seedlings.
