If my garden is anything to go by, the month of March finds work outstanding on pruning, planting and weeding. Although often cold, wet and windy, March finds the growth of many things starting to be visible. If you don't weed now, you will find it hard work later.
Generally it is a month for sowing hardy annuals, sweet peas and lettuce/radish. Watch out for frosts if you have anything tender outside.
Now is the time to separate groups of snowdrops. Replant them straight after flowering. Do not allow the bulbs to dry out before replanting.
