Using a cloche can extend the season for gathering parsley and other herbs.

Level out dips in the lawn by using fine soil and sand. Tamp it down and sow a good grass seed.

If you are fed up with controlling weeds and you do not intend to use some of your garden until spring, you could think about coverning some of the soil with black polythene to prevent the light getting to the plants. All weeds will be gone by spring.
