This is tidying up time. Collect any woodash that you may have accumulated and store it or spread it. Pile leaves for mulching and get hold of some manure for winter weathering before a spring application.

Despite the recent late good weather in September and October, take precautions against frost in respect of plants that might be affected by cold.

Get the lawn raked.
